Suggestions for the forums.

I have some suggestions for the forums

1. Disable post count in general chat just like at sitepointforums. Will go a long way in limiting the mindless posts.

2. Create a new forums - Introductions (under general forums) - where newbies can introduce themselves. Disable post count in this forum too.

3. Increase the PM inbox limit! please!

4. Enable the user who created the poll to edit it. Sometimes we need to add a new option or edit a typo.

5. Install the online hack you installed sometime back (and then removed it)

What do you think Peo?

Why not an introductions forum?

Cause IMO there's no need for it. Most people only go to the free webspace forum, ask a question, read the replies and never come back.

That is a good question. If so, do they send a warning email before deletion?

I don't really think they do. There is only around 250-300 active members here, and over 3,000 members.

If you click on members (http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/memberlist.php?s=) you'll see that a lot of people registered a name but never posted. And quite a lot of post-once-get-answer-never-come-back people too.

About number 4...

Let's say I started a "Who's the best" pool.
And lets say that User A gets 10 votes and User B gets 2 votes.
I want User B to win.

With my newfound editing skills, I modify the wording so that User B now has 10 votes and User A only has 2.

Thanks for your suggestions and I'm sorry for my late response. I will look into this, but as for LastActionHero's 5 suggestions I can already say that number 5 will not be available since it's not very useful and it could potentially slow down the forum.

Please give me some more time to think about the other suggestions.
