ws-ftp version 7.0

i purchased ws-ftp version 7.0 online and after installing it i realized i do not have the option to choose if if i want the transfer to be asc or binary
did i install it wrong or it's not necessary in this version?

i had ws and you should have the option to choos so it must of installed wrong

You might be looking for the ones in the previous version. The type of transfer is not made of option buttons bow. It's a command button which when clicked changes the icon it has.

Just look at the icon and you can deduce if it is ascii, binary or auto.

I got the trial but I am sure it's the same.

When the first screen comes up for you "connection" screen I believe it is called...

goto EDIT ----> ADVANCED PROPERTIES

Then click the STARTUP tab

You should see the option in the bottom right there under the heading "Startup Transfer Mode"
