Not sure if this topic really goes under the web design/html forum, but...
I was checking my web log files and saw a whole bunch of 404 errors for attempts to get default.ida in my root directory.
Did a google search and found that it's related to the Code Red worm:
http://www.thesitewizard.com/news/coderediiworm.shtml
My web host is running Apache, so I don't have to be worried about it getting infected. But all those attempts to get this non-existent file is eating up bandwidth (esp. since I have custom 404 pages).
And is the writer of that article correct in saying that a file of 0kb will not add to your bandwidth when someone requests it? Isn't there a little bit of overhead tacked on to each http request? Does that overhead wind up getting counted as part of your bandwidth? (Hope that makes sense.)
