i dont know what you call it but ill explain it.
ok. some sites allow you to ftp their site and upload some stuff in their incomming folder. how can i do this??
is there a free host that allows this? i want my members to upload stuff via FTP.

That would be anonymous ftp. No free hosts allow it. Some paid hosts don't even allow it.

The only way to let members upload to your site without it would be to give them your password, which wouldn't be a smart thing to do.

If you have cgi you could use a cgi uploading script. Otherwise no host would allow this, because the user would not see a user agreement before logging on to the ftp. Once on the ftp, all sorts of nasty things could be done, and there it is hard to trace because the user is annonymous.

I'd go with cgi uploading. Or get the user's to email the stuff to upload, then you do it.
