Do you prefer pepsi or coke? do you notice a difference? Would you just as soon drink that generic ----, or do you crave the real thing.
If you like 7up vote for pepsi. if you like sprite vote for coke.

me too. i think coke is too syrupy. too much sweet, and its fuzzy not fizzy.

Funny... I think Coke is not syrupy enough and that Coke isn't sweet enough and that it's too fizzy.

Although we have Pepsi and Coke here, I believe it's different than what you people get, some what modified.

Somewhat modified? In what way?
When I went to Hong Kong, I found that the coke there seems to be a little different, perhaps it's because there are so many Coke manufacturing plants in the world. There's gotta be some differences...

According to most research Pepsi does taste better, although most opinions in this world will be influenced heavily by the products branding.
When all other factors were eliminated, it came down to a matter of flavor. Batteries of well-controlled taste tests showed folks liked the taste of Pepsi better. Seemingly confirming that original Coca-Cola had a taste problem was the popularity of Diet Coke, a beverage formulated in such a way that it ended up with a flavor a lot closer to that of Pepsi than to its parent beverage.

Hmm...
That URL looks like an interesting read.
I wonder if my classmates like Coke just because of its brand.

Most likely, although they've probably been slowly forced to drink it their whole lives and are now hopelessly addicted. ;)

Claim: Coca-Cola halted production of its flagship beverage in 1985 and introduced New Coke in its place as a marketing ploy to combat declining market share and rekindle interest in the original drink.
Status: False.
The claim is false according to the website. They then proceed to explain why they have called it false.

So we're drinking the Classic Coke right now? The Coke made in the pre-1980's? Are we the only ones who care more about taste than familiarity?

People tell me it's not as strong as in the USA or Canada. Personally I prefer a drink called Thumbs-Up which was made by a local soft drink major before coke bought that company when it entered the Indian markets. I prefer Coke over Pepsi though.

If it's in a can, I prefer Coca-Cola.
If it's in a plastic bottle, I prefer Pepsi.
If it's in a glass bottle, I prefer Coca-Cola but Pepsi's fine to, anything tastes better in a glass bottle.
But what I'd most prefer is Dr. Pepper, in either a can or glass bottle, no plastic.
Plastic makes things taste... odd.
I don't drink anything that's not a brand name.
So we're drinking the Classic Coke right now?Yes, except in place of real sugar it's some sugar substitute crap and the coca leaves used have been stripped of their cocaine.

Well, I used to always be a Pepsi boy. But, actually, I think I now prefer Coke. But, I drink the Safeway Select Cola. It is fine cola too. But I would never drink no name root beer. THat stuff is shyte. Only the expensive stuff :)
Now that I read the posts above me...
Glass bottle Pepsi is the bomb. That stuff kicks some bootay. I went to P.E.I (in Canada, the smallest province), and since it's an island, then don't recycle cans, they just re-use the glass bottles. Those are great tasting drinks!

bottles are still used in mexico too. 7up was the best there. so was the fact that i could buy beer for the same price.

Can pop kill you if you drink too much of it, say like 5 pop cans a day every week?

pop/soda it's the same thing
It's what coca cola and pepsi and all those other soft drinks are.

Oh. Never heard the term pop around here before. It's always just soda.
Anyway though, it's not going to kill you from drinking so much of it, but then again it's not gonna be all that great for ya either.

Never heard of pop??? Strange. Here, pop is THE name for a soft drink. Soda is kinda an american thing I think. And drinking too much could give you diabetes. It's true. If you have WAY too much sugar in your diet, then you not only become fatter than if you drank that much beer, your body doesn't produce as much insulin, and you have to inject some everyday. I used to joke about getting diabetes from eating too much sugar, but it is true. Sacry, eh? And I think I drank too much pop this summer. My teeth turned yellow. I am just drinking straight water now.

Mountain Dew is bad for your teeth and gums. Too much sugar. Plus, for the men, it reduces your sperm count because of the Yellow 5 coloring in there.

Plus, for the men, it reduces your sperm count because of the Yellow 5 coloring in there. That's an old wives tale, you'd have to drink a swimming pool full of Mountain Dew before you'd notice anything. Even then, what most people are forgetting is that you're not born with X amount of sperm, you're constantly producing more. So if you hijacked a truck laden with Mountain Dew and downed them all that morning, you may have a dip in fertility that night, but in a few days there'd be no lasting affects (on your sperm count, anyway. If you drank several thousand liters of anything in a day you'd probably have a few other problems).
If you're that worried about your fertility, you should stop worrying about Mountain Dew and take off your pants. Pants and underpants are far more dangerous, they just give your li'll fella's a heat stroke. :D
I like Mountain Dew on occasion, but it's not something I regularly drink.
pop/soda it's the same thingActually, "pop" and "soda" are both shortenings of the original term, "soda pop".

Funny but the second I leave Michigan and get into Ohio, Indiana they call it Soda.
I was told that in the south like Texas they call it Coke.
That true?
I went out to eat when I visited Texas one time and the waitress asked "What kinda Coke's wud ya like ta night" ;)
I asked are there different kinds of Coke, she said yeah,
there is Pepsi, Mt. Dew, etc. Pepsi products.

it's really quite bad for you. it dissolves your teeth, and the artificial sweetener may cause cancer. It also changes th PH of your blood. i'm guessing thats not so cool.
Ive drunk PC cola. it tastes inferior.
Dusty... if you're worried about heat stroke... dont wank in the bath ;)

Especially like pepsi with chinese food :)
