Maybe just becuase they offer 50mb mail space?
But the link in that page... Points to China's Largest Portal... So, that e-mail address maybe might not end with @hinet.net .

Hmm... old thread.

In case any of you would want to know, this is a TAIWANESE ISP service, you get a free email account when you sign up for their ISP service, and it's in the form of youraccountname@ms##.hinet.net
The mail server numbers are already up to the forty-somethings. :)
