Go out and fill up your tanks and spares. Gas is going up to $4.00 per gallon, and that's just Walmart prices. Other places are generally higher.
My wife is in management for Walmart, which is how I found out...

Not sure it will be quite that high around here. It's only around $1.50 per gallon now.

Gas here was $1.53 this morning, wife just called and said cars are lined up down the street at all gas stations paying $1.90
So now it is a way to make money from us?
People need not panic, this will only make it worse

The US is probably going to stop buying oil from the major middle eastern oil producers, which will significantly raise gas prices.

It's true. Detroit, Louisville, and Kentucky are already at $4-5/gallon according to http://www.drudgereport.com

Gas here is still $1.30 gallon. So if it is going to $4/gallon here in Houston...how much elsewhere?

Apparently there's been some price gouging in a few states... People trying to take advantage of some peoples' anxiety, I guess. But for the most part, there's no reason for it. The suppliers are saying that they have no knowledge of any shortages or anything. Gas was still $1.29 a gallon at the station I passed, here in Phoenix, earlier.

Yeah, prices shouldn't change until the US declares an embargo on OPEC, if you're paying much more for gas than regular, call up the police or attorney general of your state and nofify them, price gouging is illegal.

Quite complaining! In Argentina gas prices here were at $4.50/Gallon for regular as a standard, and hasn't changed luckily since this country produces its own oil and is self-sufficent.
But many people in this country fears it could be next, but it has one of the largest defense apparatus in South America. The Border Patrol and UZI-Equipped Police are on high alert since a lot of Israeli interests lie in this country. And Buenos Aires has 15 Million people, so it could easily be the next target, as being on the TOP 5 list of the world's biggest cities... and it is one heck of a model of captialism.
