I am trying to decide on a board for my site. I have narrowed it down to:
phpBB
openBB
mercury board
(suggestion)
What are the pros and cons of each? how are they to install, and how about bugs?

Why isn't VBulletin in the list? Though some of the HTML isn't very Linux friendly, it still seems to be the best board I've seen in a while... is there a specific reason you've excluded it (price, MySQL requirement, something else)?

You can edit the wbboard templates. I suggest wbboard as well.

Oh, and Burning Board is very easy to install, and doesn't have big bugs, just minor ones that don't affect the board. For example, a page reloads itself instead of redirecting to another.

I would go with OpenBB, it looks very professional... btw, what is the url to Mercury Board? I've never heard of it before.

If there was a board which has all of the features that vbulletin has for free, i would switch over.

Anyone want to make our own free bulletin board software which acts almost exactly like vbulletin, admin panel and all?
