That's the problem. Don't chmod anything at f2s.

The biggest mistake people make trying newspro on f2s is uplaoding the .htaccess file. Delete that and it runs great.

I have another newspro quesry if anyone could help.
What is the line of code that you place on your code to get the news to appear there, i cannot get this to work.
I have renamed the page index.shtml as reccomended.
The news.txt file is stored in the same folder as the shtml page and the rest of the news pro files are stored in a folder called cgi, one level down from the base directory. Does anyone have any ideas what the line of code would be.

<!--#include virtual="/mypage/cgi-bin/newspro/news.txt" -->

You need the news.txt file in the newspro folder. You can't move it to another folder and expect the news to appear in that file. If you move the news.txt file back into the newspro folder then the ssi command: <!--#include virtual="/mypage/cgi-bin/newspro/news.txt" --> might work.
