i have a small realaudio site on geocities that only gets about 60 hits per day at most and noticed that the past month or so the site keeps going over its 3 gig per month limit. now i know this isn't possible with the amount of hits it gets so ppl must be linking to the .ra files. is there anyway to find out where the files are being linked from?

well you can't find out unless Geocities gives you raw log files. Or install an anti hot linking script.

i don't want to bother moving it, it wouldn't hlpe much as the hot linkers would probably just link from whereever i move to. oh well, maybe i'll just change the link names from time to time.

yeah you should rename your files and use anti-leech.com (http://www.anti-leech.com). I use them and they work really good for catching hotlinkers cause they have a log that tells you who (ip#) and what site tried to hotlink your files.

that will not stop advanced users but will stop the average user easily. peace
