Hello,

Just want to see if any forum members had any information on "Is A Millionaire" (http://www.isamillionaire.com).

I like their free service but like "Xoasis" (http://www.xoasis.com) the customer service really stinks. Recently they have been upgrading their site and the forums have been closed. They also like "Xoasis" do not answer Email.

Just wanted to know if other forum members have been having the same experience or if I got it all wrong about "IsAMillionaire.com".

Any and all comments appreciated.

I have never heard of them! Are they reliable etc...? I did a test download from one of their site and got nice speed (not very good but nice). I've heard that cgi doesn't work at Xoasis, is it like that at isamillionaire too?

Hi,

No it appears that "IsAMillionaire.com" CGI-BIN does work. I have not tried their database stuff yet but I cannot reach them to get it anyway.

<form action="http://www.portland.co.uk/cgi-bin/add_domain.pl" method="POST">

i thought they were runned by portland, before i looked at the form code, here is why:

15 megs, php, mysql, cgi, no ads (alot of services have that and they turnout to be portland)

limited support (cuase they dont own the server)

only two questions for the sign up (portland does it)

then i looked at the code and posted a reply

portland has a co-branded service for free

dont sign up with them cuz they are slooow

I had a domain hosted at Portland for about six months and other than minor annoyances the first month, they were fine for what I needed. It wasn't a high-traffic site, so the bandwidth was no big deal, but it was always up when I checked it, the FTP always worked, and the e-mail forwarding worked great. :)
