I start training tomorrow

Me and a good buddy of mine, Will are starting training for the toughman contest. It's basically a boxing contest with three weight classes, each winner gets $500.

Will won his weight class last year, and I plan to win mine this year. We already have the afterparty planned. KEGS BABY!

Closest ive come to a boxing match is a drunken punch for punch in which i broke a knuckle, and someones collar bone.

It's single elimiation, last man standing type of things. One of those classy events where they give you a breathalizer before you fight.

We start tomorrow with weight training, then we will be running, sparring, jogging, lifting weights, hitting the bag. Easting right and conditioning is the key.

We lifted weights together all through high school, and we played football and wrestled together too. Will was 2nd in the state last year in wrestling.

I will be lifting weights soon too. after my shoulder is totally healed i have to get huge so i dont dislocate it a 3rd time

Does that mean you get paid 500 bucks for beating some one to a bloody mess, and being slightly beaten yourself?

Yeah you get paid to beat somebody up. And you get nothing for getting beat up. Cool, eh? :cool:

Same thing with car racing... you waste fuel driving yourself dizzy and sometimes driving to your death. Very stupid IMO. And the poor cars get all wrecked and stuff. What do you get if you win? You get sprayed by a bottle of champane and you receive a shiny brass (maybe it's real gold, I dunno) cup (trophey) to take home and place on your bookshelf.

at least you can lift. my arm just out of a sling they have me lifting 2.5 lbs.
