I had tried that domain.kg, but I don't know what it asks for?

Like :

Nameserver 1 ______________ IP _________________
Nameserver 2 ______________ IP _________________

So, what's that mean?

Please tell me.

It means your hosts namseservers.

If you don't know what it is, then I don't think your ready for one.

Geocities doesn't do domain hosting.

So instead here's what you can do.

Go to http://www.mydomain.com and get an account (it's free, don't worry) and then insert MyDomain's nameservers in the appropriate box at www.domain.kg.

MyDomain's nameservers:
ns1.mydomain.com 216.34.13.236
ns2.mydomain.com 64.75.34.132
ns3.mydomain.com 64.75.34.140
ns4.mydomain.com 64.75.34.134

After you have registered your *.*.kg, add it to your MyDomain account and then config it. The last thing you will have to do is wait for the domain to resolve. You can check by trying to access it frequently to see if it's working. It can take up to 2 weeks.

If I may, I would like to pose a small question. I hope it makes sense - I realise I'm a novice when it comes to this kind of thing:

How often does mydomain.com check to see if the domain you registered is active?

When I log into into my mydomain.com account and check my newly-registered domain it says something like "DNS check not yet performed".

When is this performed and how often is it checked? I looked in their FAQ but I couldn't see anything about this.

I don't mind waiting 2 weeks for my domain to become active, just so long as I'm not doing anything wrong...

Thanks,

I have no idea, none of my *.*.kg's were checked, but they all work fine and dandy, so I don't really care about that DNS check thing.

Your domain doesn't have to be checked by MyDomain for it to be active. Also, I don't think .kg domains are checked by MyDomain.

I wonder if mydomain checks any of the domains. Even my .com and .net aren't checked.

They do check (both my .com and .net domains have been checked), but not very often (i don't even see why they need to check it).
