Having a Web Page Is Pointless

Having a webpage just plain out sucks.

You spend all the time building the page making it have a point and purpose, you establish your target user base you promote and there is always a site somewhere that is better than yours but at the same time worse. Some corporate Fulltime nerdgeek with cokebottle glasses has the time to make a site and have all the eyecatching banners and slogans to attract users...

nevermind its too hard to explain somtimes i think joe web user is mental for overlooking a good site for one with all the bells and whistles.

I guess thats life (and a nerdgeek's business)

I don't care if i break even i am happy but i don't care i find it fun to do a design. Even though it is a lot of work.

I agree making designs is fun. Thinking of ideas for sites is also to me kinda fun. The only prob I have is that I think of too much crap for it to have. And when its just one person doing all the work, and the site starts out at like 1000 pages you know you cant do it. But just making a base design is what I love to do.

the average joe shmoe doesn't care about how much time you put into programming or design, they only care about if it looks good, and what the site does

Web design is the only "artistic outlet" that I have. Never was much of an artist, otherwise. :)

Same here, give me a paint brush and I can make some -----in' stick people :D, but give me PhotoShop and I'll make you some damntastic kickass art :)

Me too!! I can't even draw a stick person correctly half the time. But give me a PC with NotePad and any graphics program and I can make some design.

I find myself making designs for site ideas I have, and then when it gets down to actually making the rest of the site, adding content, etc. I get tired and make another design for another site. I never finish my sites!! hehe
