View Full Version : Looking for Webspace to host RealAudio files

Hi there,

Help!, Forgive me for asking a question that likely has been asked before, but I am looking for Webspace (free of course) that will allow a growing number of large RealAudio files. Can anyone recommend a suitable service.

The files I want to upload can be anything from 5 - 7 Mb. So you will realise that it does not take many to gobble up the small amount of space offered by most services.

The files are sermons and talks given at the Baptist Church I attend here in the U.K.

I would prefer to FTP the files, have no ads (I know I'm dreaming), this is important because you cannot necessarily guarantee that the ads will be suitable for a church site. Although I could maybe put up with Ads if they were relatively unobtrusive, and reasonable.

My previous host for these files (NBCI.com) was not that good, down more often than not, but at least they offered the space (999 Mb). Can't use them now of course, so I'm stuck!!

Can anyone out there help?

Eagerly awaiting your kind comments.

Regards,

Alan

I have seen a lot of people hosting real audio files on prohosting. Might want to give it a try.

You could try www.crosswinds.net unlimited space and from what I hear they are pretty fast. No FTP and pop-ups I believe.

Why don't you search for a specialty site for Christian type hosting, they usually let you put up audio of sermons and such. However, my church pays for domain hosting (which is MUCH better), it's only about $14 to register domain and hosting is usally cheap or free.

More like 8.95 for the domain.

Geocities only offers 15 mb, so I doubt that would work for alanflint.
