It is probably cheaper to buy a computer in the states, because here, what I paid for was a very good price :)

Considering his motherboard soesn't support ddr ram I don't that that's such a good idea.

I thought having DDR ram with the 1.4Ghz Althon was a requirement? It works okay with SDRAM?

Did you build it yourself?

Bruce
October 5th, 2001, 23:01
Yup, it works fine with sdram. Pentium 4's now support sdram too, not that I'd want one or anything though...

Well that explains why it cost a little more than. If you didn't build it, then that's a great deal.

actually it's $876.591.

I'm going to build one soon, as soon as I have enough money. IS that motherboard good? Which company? MSI? never heard of it.

The specs are almost identical to my computer, only I have a DVD rom instead of a burner.

Yes, MSI. It's one of those cheap brands. That motherboard only costs around $60.

Persoanlly, I wouldn't buy it, but that's just me. I would definately get one that supports DDR Ram. I would either get an Epox or an Asus board.

Personally I would've chosen a burner too, but my dad got a DVD rom instead. Since we don't have any DVD players, I suppose that's a nice addition. But I hope to get a burner soon...

It wouldn't support the CR-RW drive.

I told you, Epgs, it comes with QBasic. Here's the .bas file for Gorilla (http://www.oct2000.f2s.com/gorilla.txt), load it in QBasic and choose "Run" out of one of the menus, I don't remember which.

If you don't have QBasic, download it from http://www.basicfiles.net/interpreters/msdos.html
