This seems to be the only board out there that actually ever gives me any support. Not even the Ikonboard support forums ever help...anywho, here's the problem:
some of my cgi files are located in a directory with an extra /ikonboard directory...they work, but the links to them are incorrect, such as announcements, etc...how can I get rid of that extra directory without screwing up my board?
I tried putting an extra ikonboard directory and moves some of those files into it, and that didn't seem to help.

It already is in the cgi-bin...the actual path for some reason is cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard/whateverfile.cg (announcements.cgi and admincenter.cgi are the most important ones like this)
it should just be cgi-bin/ikonboard/whateverfile.cgi

Hmmm. I came accross this path while installing iB once.
Here's what I suggest!
While installation of iB you prolly gave the path to cgi-bin directory as cgibin/ikonboard/ikonboard by mistake or something.
So you should check the files which contain these settings stored. Then go there and change the variable value to the proper path.
If you're not experienced in programming at all, then I suggest you reinstall the script. But if you want to retain the messages such as the poists and stuff you should put overwrite everything except the messages folder or something.
Try this and see. If you get it great, if you don't you should try getting some expert to see what is wrong through your FTP.
