I install my files correctly, and I get this error in my borwser, ERROR 500:INTERNAL SERVER ERROR. This is what is in my log file.
[Wed Dec 20 06:55:49 2000] [error] [client 63.12.149.234] Premature end of script headers: /usr/local/plesk/apache/vhosts/chesskit.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/install.cgi
What is making this happen?
Thanks in advance

Reinstall the script and double check these:
a. check the path to perl in all .pl/.cgi files
b. chmod all files to correct permissions
c. upload cgi/text in ascii (unless otherwise noted)
If this doesn't work, try contacting your system admin for some technical help. It might be their problem and not yours.

I have a feeling that the ikonboard has a support forum? Why not try to ask there?
(Usually it's just a little mistake somewhere, so double check everything again. For instance... Have you set the correct permissions for the folder containing the scripts and are you sure the path to perl is correct in every script you've uploaded?)

Make sure u select ASCII mode when transferring files... dont even use AUTO! becuz many times ur ftp client will try to upload cgis as binary files.. unless u specifiy .pl .cgi as standard as ascii files in options. This is very basic but very vital.

Hi all :)
I have found the problem.
I cant even execute CGI scripts from sub-folders in my CGI-BIN. All Executables must be in CGI-BIN not CGI-BIN/ikonboard.
Why cant I do this?
