View Full Version : For newbies, 1 post is jumping 200+ pages...

I looked into the top 10 posters section in the members list, I clicked the >> button and went all the way back. There was 200+ pages that people had 0 posts. Sometimes I wonder why they signup when they don't do anything?

It was on the 270+ page till I saw members with a post. I think those are members who post something and never come back, especially the Free Webspace forum.

So if you had a post, you will jump from 400+ page to the 270+ page. What a big jump...

So, what I want to know is why do people signup without posting? I'm confused about this part...

some people don't know what they are doing. They are just surfing around the net, they make a search at a search engine with something like "I want my own website for free",finaly they get into this website, the click links around and at some point they see a button called "register" .. they think "oh if i click here maybe i will get a free website" the click, they register, the result is not what they thought it would be and they leave.

ok ... maybe not all the cases are like this, but I am sure some are :p

Some people register so they know when there are new posts. They read 'em, but they just don't reply.

i don't think he should delete all of the "0 posts" members. he should delete the ones who signed up like more than 5 months ago and leave the other ones. the others might have forgoten that they have registered with fws (as i already said before) and might come back some other time (when they remember).;)

What I think would be more common is people with 1 maybe 2 posts, and then they never come back. There a few boards out there that I would fit into this category.

LOL:) That's what I usually do. Sometimes I just sign up for some clubs or forums(to post 1 thing) and then I would totally forget about it. By the time I want to get into that club or forum(after many decades), I would forget my password or even my username...oh man....that happens tome all the time..

So, now i had to keep a a record(on paper) of all the things I signed up for.
