They just started and are looking to build a community, I have listed the features below:

It sounds too good to be true... nothing said about ftp access and bandwidth ? I like brinkster (except for the low bandwidth and only 30 MB webspace, which I don't know how long I will last). As for 100free.com , anyone knows what is wrong with their ftp? I tried to upload my files and all the times I get these messages - either 'time connection out' or 'host is unreachable' and when I try to use support , oh boy, this message comes up 'error -file not found'. So much for fast, reliable ....:(

We are now beta testing and it is hoped that PHP will be added monday - MySQL will be in the near future.

SpaceTowns is juggling wether to have ads or not but if they do they will be on the users pages.

Yes you do start off with 5mb space but this is just to deter warez - their is a forum where you can request more space. (most websites take up less than 3mb anyway)

SSI is currently not installed that is why it won't accept .shtml files.

No im not the owner, about 15 sites must have been deleted already because they had illegal stuff on the sites.

One site had 3 1mb images which were porn posted at this real popular pic post and they were costing 1mb a sec!

Ads are being thought about - their is a text link at the bottom of our pages saying "Hosted by SpaceTowns" and maybe a banner at the top of pages.

Trenz site is very inconsistent, and early 90s style all text with different backgrounds on each page. Not very nice.

I would like to point out something ... if your gonna be offer a "free" web hosting service .. with no ads .. how do u expect to pay the bills ??? ie : connection costs , server upgrades , servers , wages ( if it aint just you or you and a mate )

Well, SpaceTowns has found other ways of puting adverts everywhere. Foe example ST is proposing "communitys" and their will be ads on them. Their will also be ads on the FM and stuff like that.

I actually think it is a great idea but we will see how it goes.

Good luck getting that to work. That's not something that other former ad-free but now ad laden FWP's now do (Crosswinds, Redrival, Angelfire, the list goes on).

Well warez is a major problem on most FWS providers, We have deleted prolly over 100 pages!

As far banner ads, they will be in the file manager, etc.

Users will have a text link at the bottom of their page saying "Hosted by spacetowns".

Excessive users will have a banner on their page, and everybody else will have an option to put a banner on or not.

(ie. Excessive = All of their space used and 1,000+ hits a day, etc)

One thing we do not tolerate is warez/xxx sites so they are removed to keep it nice and fast for the other people.
