How do I get it so they can download the file instead?" Be sure to include a note telling your visitors to RIGHT CLICK on your link, and then choose SAVE AS. Mrh0ax December 23rd, 2000, 06:28 i just click on it and it is savable.. but how do you mak eit bso it runs, instead of DLs??? Nick December 23rd, 2000, 10:13 Originally posted by Mrh0ax i just click on it and it is savable.. but how do you mak eit bso it runs, instead of DLs??? The only other thing to do besides save it is check the little radio button that says run from it's current location. As far as I know, there are no HTML 4.0 tags that make it run automatically. I could be wrong, check a tag listing and look unter the <a href> tag's possible attributes. Mrh0ax December 23rd, 2000, 10:20 well, RM files and real player files download automaticly and run under temp... how can i do that with an exe Nick December 23rd, 2000, 10:31 Originally posted by Mrh0ax well, RM files and real player files download automaticly and run under temp... how can i do that with an exe Real Media files are 'catched' by your browser because when you install Real Player it configures it that way and/or there is a file called a .ram file that is actually a text file that tells your browser where to go. The browsers don't allow auto run on programs because of security risks aka viruses. | ||||
