question about USB ports

ok, i went out to buy a scanner today, not knowing that just about all scanners that are at a decent price require USB ports. my computer is over 2 years old and never came with USB ports. its a P2 350 with 123 megs of ram running windows 98. my question is would it be possible to get a USB port installed?

sure. you can buy a USB controller card that fits in your PCI expansion slot.

many scanners support both USB and parallel connection. you sure your scanner doesn't support parallel port?

use a USB card. refer to instructions about installing it. The ethernet card is also on PCI, the instructions told me to remove the cover blah blah blah...but anyway my computer has a built-in ethernet card :p

Um...did you ever considered upgrading your pc?
