I sure that you are going to all have fun with this one! Anyway, here goes............
I am trying out some new action manager software for my auctions & discovered that I have to have ftp accessible web space to store my images. Here's the funning part.........I have no idea what that means or where to start! I have always just stored my images on my hard drive & uploaded them via "browse". I have read a few of these threads and read words like: pop ups, email, banners, etc...
I don't think I need or want any of that stuff, just some space to store & access my images. I would prefer one with some upload speed. I also have no idea how much space I need, but I do download quite a few pictures on a dailey basis. Okay, let me have it. Some advise would be appreciated.:confused2

OK, if I understand you correctly, it seems as if you already have a host, and for one reason or another, you need FTP. Therefore, you need to download an FTP program if you don't already have one. If you don't have one, you can go to www.cnet.comabd search for one you like...good ones are Cute FTP and WS FTP, as well as FTP Voyager. Uploading through FTP is just as easy as uploading through a browser, in fact I find it easier.

If you don't have a host, you need one that supports FTP, and it seems as if you probably need around 20mb.

these are a couple fo good hosts for that.

good luck

:o I quess I didn't state my problem correctly. Sorry, I'll attemp to explain.............
I do not already have a host of any type. I know nothing about hosts! When I said that I upload my images via "browse", I meant that while setting up my auctions on eBay, I click on the image selector, which opens a window to type in host address or browse....I browse & choose an image from my hard drive. My new auction manager software will allow me to set up my listing in my own time, save them, and send them to eBay when I am ready. This requires the ftp accessible web space. I hope I haven't confused you too much. Keep in mind that I am pretty much ilitterate when it comes to this type of thing.
