 I have a domain registered with inww.com now and I want to transfer it to a cheaper registrar. Please let me know your comments on whether transfering the domain to godaddy.com and then hosting a site at freehostspace.com is a good idea...and does any one know whether freehostspace is good? I'm a little dubious about their service since they claim I only have to pay the set-up fee once and for all, then they will host my site for free. Are there any hidden costs like renewal costs if I don't host my domain with them? What about their support and uptime? Thanks.

GoDaddy... good choice.

Haven't used freehostspace.com, so I can't give you any comments on that. Sorry.

I don't know much about freehostspace. I think http://www.freehostrus.com/ has similar plan. That is, only one time setup fee $25(same to transfer fee of Free Host Space). They have no option like MySQL. You, however, don't need to receive newsletters from them.
Actually, I guess freehostrus is close to freehostspace. They are using same DNS. And I have experience server down, actually. (It recovered soon though.)

By the way, you can transfer your domain cheaper with http://www.cyberwingdomains.com/ which seems to be a reseller of godaddy. http://www.dabot.com/ is much inexpensive than them for under 10 years according to recent message here.
