In English, we read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

For our field trip, we're going to an insane asylum :D Only in senior year would they let us do that... :)

An insane asylum????!!!!??!! Awesome!!!

Don't move, stay right where you are
talking can only give you away
and there's so nothing to say
the voices say hello
imprisoned, they're invisible
but we look a lot alike
this is boring, all we talk about is you
come on give me a reason
a boy and his machine gun
when you're finished stuggling
are you free tonight?
did they stick you in here
cause you weren't working right?

don't move stay just like you are
you look sane motionless like that
so very flat
it's amazingn what velocity can do
when human beings are in season

a boy and his machine gun
if you're quiet we might see some
when you're finished stuggling
are you free tonight?
did they stick you in here cause you weren't working right?
there's a TV in every room
and it's free even pay-per-view
which you'll need if no one's going to visit you
Animal

i know who you're waiting for
no one's coming though
so ---- you and your principals
and ---- whatever made me
perhaps you think i'm evil
perhaps you think i'm crazy

Wow. An asylum.

I'm not sure that i'd be willing to go to a place like that. Oh well. You will probably learn something. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest was a really good book.

Ha! How cool! Tell us how it goes!

We went to a medium-security prison for school, a few years back. It was scary. We walked through it... and there were all these criminals lurking around just looking at us...

Then we went into this building and sat there talking to these two murderers and these two armed robbers. :nervous:

Yeah I went to rainforest twenty miles away from the Colombian Border... I never seen so many guns in my life. The Ecuadorian Army is very well equipped with its gunboats, rocket launchers and everything. But it was really a nice trip, saw a bunch of animals. The region I went to was Sucumbios (sp?).

I lived in Ecuador for two years before moving to Argentina.

During middle school:

We got to go to Paramounts King Dominion two times for a math a science thing they hold. That was alright because none of us actually completed the workbook we were given, we just rode rides. No lines! It was awesome!

And we got to this camp during a whole school week twice. They had rope courses, this big lake with one of those zip chords, two olympic sized pools, volleyball, soccer, and a ton of other activities. The only educational value was team work. It was pretty fun. One night, my friends and me 'found' a golf cart and rode around all night :devious2:.

Must be pretty nice.. Insane Asylum? Our school wouldn't allow us to go to field trips because nobody wants to pay or drive the students to wherever we want to go.:p

We don't go on field trips anymore either. The CBE (my cities board of education) is paranoid after a kid drowned on a field trip somewhere in California. Not sure if any international trips have been allowed since (good thing it happened after I wen to Europe).

Now, the sad part.

My school is attached via a hallway to a pool. The pool is city property, therefore, not part of the school. We were doing swimming in PE. We had to get forms signed allowing us to go off school property. There were fields to fill in like "If you do not accept this form of transportation, please state an alternative means:".
