I have a project and I need to interview someone in a career field I am interested in.

I am interested in Software Engineering. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to contact someone in this field? Like look in the yellow pages or something, but for what? How am I gonna kind a Software Engineer?

Actually, I am interested in many other forms of engineering. Not only software.

depends on where you live but like here i have plenty of places like ibm, cisco, red hat, etc... just call up a company and they usually will hook you up with one of their people.
