I tell people this and often they don't listen, but if you plan on making a site and having visitors, do not sign up for these free domain name things. You will only regret it later. Your site is your domain, links to your site will be linked to the domain, etc., and unless you don't care about your site, spend the measly $9/yr. ($0.75/mo.) on a domain.

this is the same as namezero.com and 94s it up to ---- its a waste of time dont register with them and plus you dont own the domain they do and after a year or less when it`s popular they take it back and sell it to the highest bidder.:( :angry2: :mad:

I remember last year I regisiter for a free domain at namedemo.com when it had offer free domain names, and I was using their free e-mail at my new domain. Well, after that year was almost over they said I had to pay in order for me to renew my domain which cost $24.95 (not cheap compare to other domains registar). Plus, I would lose a whole year worth of e-mail. Well, I didn't pay cause it was too much and I ended up losing a whole year worth of e-mail to that free domain I had.

Moral: free domains are only good if use it for some temporary crap. So they suck. Just save your lunch money for about a week and ba-da-bing, ba-da-bam, ba-da-boom, you got yourself some money for a domain!

Yeah I know, ADDR and CiHost have been around for years. Both suck from everything I've heard about them, and they're both really big hosts with lots of members. I actually heard someone say ADDR is a good host the other day, but I doubt they've actually used the host themselves.
