Since my site contains a lot of photos, I am looking for a host that provide unlimited bandwidth of transfer.

And the webspace is about 200-300 MB

Do anyone have suggestions?

Unilimited bandwidth is a unlimited lie; look here www.unlimband.com

If you search this board for keyword "unlimited" you will find interesting stories.

It is much better to believe on figures rather than words. Please post number of GBs your site consumes per month.:D

Thanks for your information.

My site contains a lot of scenery photos,
each photo is about 200 KB.
I estimate a visitor views 20 photos per visit,
200 visitors each day,

So the bandwidth I am looking for is about:
0.2MB * 20 * 200 * 30 = 24 GB

Actually, I put the slash before the bracket...but it's all good now. Thanks for pointing that out.

I have not used them but Aletia seems fairly low for the transfer rate but 24gb is going to cost you.

http://www.aletiahosting.com.

I just had another idea although it may be a lame one... String together a bunch of discount-domain sites. Each would be $10 per year for 5gb and that may be your lowest cost way to go. You would need a domain for each account so that would be a total of $20 per year for 5-6 accounts. That would be $120 per year ($10 per month) for 6 accounts.

You could probably use subdomains for that idea, too.

Chris... a little baking soda will brighten those choppers right up.

How would you go about setting a subdomain to a different account with them? Do they do that? I may learn something new here.

My first suggestion would be to reduce the size of these images and compress them. Even the 1200x1600 images I have are 131KB and really that is just too big for web viewing for the most part. If I reduce the size on this image to 800x600 (still a bit big but at least better for web viewing), file size size drops to under 40KB.

40KB * 20 * 200 * 30 = 4.6 GB (quite a difference).

oneandone.co.uk is not a company .. it is an english based division of Schlund+Partner AG

All servers and connections are in germany .. and they have multiple OC-3 connections to OC-12 / OC-48 backbones .. they have registered over 2 million domains.

and have over 500 servers ... ok .. and i'm a not a client or affilate.

Peace

thosedays- More important than what you require is what you are willing to pay. What the most you are willing to fork out for a host?

I am willing to pay not more than $100 a year.

www.phenominet.com

if $100 is the top for you, I think the best bet would be to scale down your pictures and seek out something with less space/bandwidth

$8.33 hosting plan/mo isn't going to get you the things you think you need. Scale down or open up that wallet a bit wider.
