I am looking for a web host that you pay annually. Can you point me to a search that has this as an option or if you know of one?

Most, if not all, hosts will allow you to pay annually. It saves them money, and you'll usually get a discount too. If you find a host your interested in and they don't have yearly payments listed on their site, just ask and they'll probably allow it.

what about a good search for hosts?

You can search for hosting in places like google.com or yahoo.com but I think you will find it easier to go to a hosting directory and do a search based on your needs (like disk space, pricing, etc)
then this will result in hosts that you can look through, visit their sites, etc. You can probably narrow down some choices by doing this, and also come back to the forums for feedback.

Hello,

Most hosts encourage yearly plans because it works out cheaper for them. They do not need to pay the credit card transaction fees every month, hence why they can offer lower prices.
