   I need, I crave, I must have this! I've searched and hoped and prayed to no avail. No I turn to you. :crysad: :crysad: :crysad: :crysad:

A small, simple text editor. Notapad galore. No wizards, no bloat, no nothing except the following.

Syntax highlighting for common languages and/or customizable
Shall in some way denote line number and character (column)
Word Wrap

In fact, I found one that have all the above except Word Wrap. Alas I'm incapable of handling long scrolling lines. It's called Editor99 - maybe someone else can use it. http://www.fastlink.to/editor99

Hard to find one with "no" bloat, but much can be removed. Editplus is pretty good.

Thanks, but I have a full fledged text editor. That's not what I need. :cry2:

Why I need another one? As a complement. The one I use doesn't have syntax highlighting for more than HTML. I also want a really lightweight second editor that's just a little more fancy than Notepad.

The two thingees I said have highlighing for most of programming language (HTML, ASP, PHP, Perl, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, VB script, CSS...................................................ect... ......... and very small. Right mouse context, customisation, lots of tools....................................................... .ect............. They are surely much better then Notepad.

Isn't that what you are asking about?

Uh, thanks. Just that NEdit is a full sized and feature rich editor too.
Do you use it BTW? Has it improved? When I tried it early this year it was still very buggy, but interesting.
