Generally how much bandwith would this OpenBB use if I recieved about 10,000-30,000 pageviews monthly? If anybody knows other stats regarding bandwith, they would be welcome as well. Thanks.

You could try asking @ http://community.iansot.net/ . Besides, I suggest you use XMB Forums or wBB. They are much better.;)

Why not, phpBB is really good , its almost as good as vBulletin, except its like free, which makes it much happier than vBulletin.

free forums ? ... ikonboard ofcuz ;) but it's cgi tho ...
How much bw it uses ? well if your forums will be alot used it can take really alot of bw.
Take about +-40kb/page (in fact it's more per page , but there is caching).
If u have 10.000-30.000 visitors
take that about 5.000 people visit your forum and they let's say 6pages on your forum (6 ain't that much as u have to change alot from pages).
5.000*6=30000
30000*40kb=1200000kb
1200000/1024=1171.875
1171.875/1024=1.1444091796875gb
just an idea ... depends on populatity on your forum ofcourse , and on design you use (if u use heavy templates it could be alot more)

OpenBB is as good as or better than any of those, if you have the time to work on the templates a lot... and version 2, probably still a couple months away, should be even a lot better.
Estimating based on my stats, 10000-30000 page views should be somewhere around 250 MB - 650 MB.

My index page and forum display pages are slightly over 40 kb, but threads are more like 10K since nobody posts. ;) So the size of pages really depends a lot on the number of posts per thread... not all page views, or even thread page views, are created equal.

If you edit the templates then it would pretty much like vBulletin. :)

Nobody talked about XMB. The latest release is great! It has al the things the you would want in a BB: Polls, Avatars, Custom titles, Sub-forums, Templates, Themes,...

I've tried XMB (my host had it installed already) and I must say there were a bunch of reasons why I stopped using the board. I just can't remember them now :D

I like openBB the best, it looks very professional and it is very easy to install. I'm not sure about speed, but the featrues are extrordinary.
