There's been a lot of talk about Redrival and their problems, and so far I have been very patient and understanding just like most of their other members. But now I'm starting to feel I'm being screwed. "We'll have it fixed by tomorrow", "We'll be back up tonight", "We'll accept new members next week" etc - month after month. And I wonder where that new file manager went. It's a couple of months late, too. I don't believe in anything Matt says anymore. But I have paid for domainhosting at RR so I can't just leave. If they ever accept new members, save yourself the trouble and don't sign up. It isn't worth the hassle.

Christina -

If your not happy with the service ask for a refund of the remaining months. Any good host will refund you. I've never used the service so can't comment on that but i have seen Matt say things will be done by a certain time and they havent been done.

Good luck with whatever you do. If you need any help with anything feel free to mail me :).

Greetings,

I, personally, take blame and apologize for the delays and troubles experienced by our members and visitors who wish to sign up, during these last few months. We've experienced tremendous growth throughout 2000 and we're working hard to provide the best ad-free service we can. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond my control have lead to these delays. Perhaps I shouldn't say specific dates for when I believe something should be done by, but I also believe in running an open, honest service and I like to keep my members updated on everything possible, so they know what's going on: good or bad.

Technics: The Domain Hosting Upgrade Package has a no-refund condition(http://www.redrival.com/dhtos.shtml) that purchasers agree to when making the order. To add to that, the one-time setup fee of $20.00 is just that, a one-time fee with no recurring monthly bills. If we did charge a monthly fee, I would be happy to make refunds, but as it is...

Farewell,

Michael

This is why if you have an important site you should use paid hosting.... or go with a place like Geocities.

The ads suck on places like Geocites... but you know your visitors have a site to go to.

You have to work with what you got... even if it sucks sometimes.
