If I were you, I would center the table (or make it larger) so it doesn't look like it's made for 640 x 480. ;)

or set the table width to 100% (or 90%). it'll be the best way for user higher and lower res.
anyway, dont you think the url is quite long ? do you got a simple one ?

anarchistvi, I am now going to change the font of my whole site because of your rebelous post.
Thanks to everybody else for your comments. I've thought about changing the width of the tables, but I've centered it and I think it wouldn't look as good.
Thanks for your posts anyway,

A very professional site despite the fact that the url is quite lengthy.

The only thing missing now are the entries!!! (hint, hint).
Yep, that's what I really want. Some entries, otherwise the whole idea of the site will be a failure...please submit some entries!!!
Thanks

cool and simple site, but you should round the corners on the top and bottom, and center the menu.

Good idea. Does anybody know how to do this with the images???
I actually don't need to centre the menu because I'm going to add an extra section, probably a search facility, to the site and that will take up the remaining space.
Thanks for all of your help so far all of you...

I think A border might help and it does look like your targeting 600*480 not 800*600.
