Adding web based email to virtual hosting account?

Is it possible to install some kind of a script to my web account that works like a web based email (using pop3/imap)?

Without mySQL if possible.

i would not recommend it for a virtual account. it might be okay if you have afew members but if you have alot of them your host will cancell your account
