hiya

i am really fed up now trying to find a web host which has at least 30megs, cgi-bin, ftp, frontpage 2002 extensions (2000 would do though), fast speed, and high bandwidth (or not slow), ikonboard support and maybe ASP.

i would be so glad if anyyone could help me cause it is a school web site and it needs to be up and running in around a week for the opening *AHHHHH!*

Why dont you like good 'ol spaceports? Whats wrong with em? Theyre really fast, give ye alot of space, and have good tech support...The only problem is they have a lot of advertising. But hey, what are they gonna do? They have to advertise to support what theyre offering!

[P.S. How much space does Spaceports allocate? They claim to have unlimited space]

I used to be a happy user over there...At first they give you 20 megs, and if you need more they'll give you it. They really shouldn't say unlimited space...They said themselves they usually wont give a person anywhere over half a gig unless it was for a good purpose.

They are a great hosting service, and Id recomend it to anyone.

They also have a deal where you can remove all banners on your site for 20 bucks a year, which is a great deal. :)

Do you have to request for it or do they give it to you automatically?

I was always happy. I just decided I wanted to move to a pay host. :)

You gotta request and theyll give you the space ya need within a couple days.

But I just heard that theyre thinking about closing down. Their mother company, terabyte, is getting sick of supporting them, so they said if they cant cut their prices enough in 2 months, theyre gone. :(

Well, Spaceports itself won't be gone, just its free service - they will continue to host you for $20/year, if you choose to pay.
