I was wondering if anyone knew a DECENT board host that doesnt reqire you to plug in a CGI Script.

Dont mention the following, though, I already know of them-

Network54
Ezboard
Boardhost

Hope someone can help :)

Thanks AlieXai! I looked at boardhost and that's exactly what I needed. Although... when I try and signup it says "Signups have been disabled."

I just sent an e-mail to one of the staff to see if they can help me.

Since CGI = common gateway interface, php and perl would fall under that umbrella. That eliminates using any type of board such as OpenBB, phpBB, iKonBoard.

Also, since he said "that doesn't require you to plugin...", he probably meant a remotely hosted board, in which case what type of board it is (php, perl) doesn't matter.


Anyway, he has already thanked me, so we now know what he wants. If other people would be so kind as to point him to other remotely hosted forum services...?

I think www.homepagetools.com still offers UB and www.proboards.com also offers yabb.
