1. Try putting in more content related to your site itself, and make your site aesthetically pleasing. That way your site will rise up in the search engines.

2. If you can't figure out which forum to put it in, General Discussion would probably suit it. :p

I agree. Don't spam to promote your site. I am VERY annoyed at all those e-mails and Instant Messages I'm getting from spammers around the world.

I would recommend going to message boards and adding a link in your signature. That strategy worked for me in promoting my board. I suddenly had about 100 posts in one day, LOL! Also, look around, find some RELATED topics to your site and reply with a link to your site. That strategy occasionally works for me as well...
