Amazing Media Send Check?

I have joined their service since August, and never been got a check from them, I wonder if they are scam.

Please give some idea!

Are there any CPM agency like them?

I joined them for one of my sites several months ago, earned about $250, and they still haven't paid me.. I stopped using them a couple months ago.

I've been using them since July, they pay me on time every single month, They recently switch accounting software so if you have not been paid simply either call them up and speek to Tom in support or email them. They do pay.

But Sphosting.com, can you tell me what is your income range from AmazingMedia? I'm afraid they would select to pay for publisher who only got small amount of money only, but for large amount like NC_TOM ($250) and me, they reject to pay :(

I make between $825, $752 a month and they always pay. Even with a big action bonus of 200 bucks.

Finally, I have received a check today with the wrong name on the Receiver address. Actually, they've got a typo there. Very lucky, the Payee name is CORRECT :)

In clonclusion, I just got a bad experience from them:

(1) slow payment (I have emailed them over 3 times from Sep. to Nov. for my check)
(2) careless typo
(3) amount not correct! ($38.49 rather than actual $38.50)

Well i'll finally be earning over 25 bucks this month so I'll find out in december. I would have a while ago but their stupid "make good policy" where if not enought ads are clicked on they don't pay you the full $1.00/1000.

From what I know, they used to be ADSDAQ.com, who hardly ever paid and was really unreliable. And well, a company who has to change their name and do a complete overhaul, is obviously not a very succesfull company, ala Datacom -> FocusIN.

Also, AmazingMedia has your stats available publicly, all I need is your login name and I can look at your site stats without a password, which I think is just ridiculous.

the public stats thing is kinda unsettling. However, nobody can change ANYTHING in the public stats so no real harm.
Still, i'd prefer my privacy...

I have only signed up with AM about 1.5 months ago and I have not yet received a check BUT I am not waiting any longer than I have been expecting. If I do not receive my check before the 15th of this month (january 2001) I will begin to speculate and since I have their phone number I will call them.

I am currently waiting for a check for around $1200 for the month of october and I closed out November with about $3200 so we'll see how they pay the big boys.

I will definately post here the instant I receive the check for all those who are curious.

I hope things work well for me and AM because even if they drop their rates I will still make money.

I am sorry to say but you won't receive your check! :( almost everyone I know has takn teir AM banners of their site and gone wit Click thru banners. Since it's muc easier aand faster to make money wit those. Also tey know te companies will pay.

I'm taking my amazing media banners off soon. I e-mailed them and on top of the 45 day waiting period for payment if you live overseas they send your payment via surface mail and not air. This means I could be waiting an additional 3 months for each cheque! I asked if they could deduct the extra for airmail off my earnings but they said no and as I have to pay for my server each month I'm taking them down.

I e-mailed them a few weeks back about my October check and then again a few days back about the same check. Both times I got the same answer......We apologize for the delay in payment. We are currently processing October payments and they will be mailed out soon about the same check. Both times I got the same answer..

Me thinks AM is in trouble. Right now well over half the adds are for AM because they can't buy enough to fill the inventory they are not selling on their own. When you have a performance based system and you show a large number of the same adds the CTR falls through the floor. I'm displaying only a few ads from AM and the rest much lower paying ads, but at least I know I'll get paid.

I have used them for small projects anfd they have always paid so I am moving a larger site accross. I am slightly concerned by the fact that we have that notice up at the moment- waiting for it to be removed.

ADSHQ was taken over by amazing media.

I was hoping somebody would post a reply saying they got paid. Makes me feel better about using them! If its okay I'd like to know the websites you have. Or just email them to me at jbeatty@blazenet.net

I have been using ValueClick for a couple of years, and they do indeed pay reliably. However, given the low clickthrough rates on my site, the CPM based plans are intriguing, to say the least.

I did sign up with Amazing Media because it appeared that I would get about six times the revenue from AM as from ValueClick. I started by installing the Amazing Media code on a few of my most high-traffic pages (my site has over 10,000 pages). Immediately, it appeared from AM's stats that I was making as much from those few pages as ValueClick was paying for the entire site.

But then they suddenly cut their rates in half (backdated to December 1st, as someone else pointed out), and still haven't put earnings totals back on the publisher stats page. Moreover, my December stats disappeared, and they never answered my emails asking various questions.

I have always had the sense that CPM based ad networks were flaky, and that clickthrough based networks were solid, and mabe this is just more proof of that. Sigh.

WabbyTwax, once you emailed them and let them know you care about your check, they may mail the check for you, however, I think it is not aplicable to large check payment, also you can see my another post for AM at http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1211

I agree with CKEVIN. Stop using AM. Find another company that is actually paying and giving a rat's a** about their users.

My site receives roughly 15,000 unique visitors a day, but with all my content I receive about 180,000 pageviews a day.

As for CPM ... there isn't one I wouldn't recommend you to ... that's my opinion. There isn't one CPM company outthere that I know of that pays on time or pays @ all. Maybe BrustMedia ... but again .. I wouldn't recommend a CPM ... I am rather go with a CPC, you will have better luck with then. Those impression you have with Amazing media and the money that has counted up. Kiss that good buy they won't pay you I am pretty sure of it. If you get over 1 million veiws the only company I would recommend you to is Doubleclicks ... I think their thing is only with sites over 1 millions veiws ...

I agree... Amazing Media appears to be somewhat of a scam
They let my stats build for a while then when payment came due, they declared my site in violation of their TOS and that my earnings had been forfeit, even though the content had not changed at all since it's approval, and that the site had previously been reviewed (at my request) for content and ad placement to ensure that I was NOT in violation.

I'ts a bit funny to me that they are processing October and November payments at the same time . This is the e-mail I got just last week. I'm not holding out much hope that I'll see a payment and in the mean time I've moved about 90% of my inventory to a lower paying service

They have been telling me the same exact crap for months now. It's a waste of time if you keep using them. Take them off your site and sign up with another company.

Earlier last year Amazing Media ripped me off for over $200. Don't mess with those prostitutes...

My theory is that they don't pay us publishers for the campaign we published during, untilt hey receive payment from all of their advertisers for that specific campaign. Its a business tactic that really leaves us blindly waiting last, but its the one way they can secure their money if they were to not get paid by a client or worst yet just up and leave town.

I am going to stick it out.. I have a lot of money riding on this and I dont want to risk losing it. If you guys are saying you are receiving checks .. no matter how late, I will wait for $1200 :)

I just talked to a woman (the secretary I think) on the phone and she said October payments are all mailed out and finished... so anyone expecting an Oct payment please post a reply here when you get it. She said they just started working on processing Novembers payments. Who knows how long that will take them.

We get paid on time everytime without fail.

My December stats reappeared on the Amazing Media publisher stats page, but the money numbers are all still "see notice". It is not encouraging to hear that, on the last day in January, site owners have still not received October checks.

I am dithering over whether to be patient and trust them or not.

The big issue is whose banners I should put on my web site's pages (many thousands of pages) when I next regenerate the site: ValueClick or Amazing Media? Because of the time and trouble it takes to regenerate the site, I can't exactly turn on a dime.

Where do you post your banners , I didnt find any on sphosting.com .. I was curious as to how many ad views you get.

I only put the Amazing Media ad on a few pages as a test, so my cumulative total from them is less than $50 as of the end of January. Hence, the soonest I could get a check from them is February.

Obviously that's not an especially big deal. The real question is whether I should go ahead and put their ad on all of my pages. I'll be very interested to see to what extent they make good on Nov/Dec/Jan promises.

A good friend of mine who also signed up for AM in November got a reply email today stating that his check has been sent out as of "today" (feb 9, friday) and that he will be getting it very soon. So all of you awaiting November checks should be getting a check within the next few days according to this.

This is not good. If November's checks aren't out yet, then I suppose I wouldn't see a February check until May or June, if then.

They usually don't post cheques until after the 15th of each month.

a) Not a huge amount- $700 or something

SSacobie and myself have also had our accounts terminated within the past 24 hours.

It seems as though AM is desperate to strip back their network in order to keep their heads above the water line.

It's a bit of a setback, but their rates were so low as to make the program a borderline consideration in any case. I'm sure we'll all be able to find suitable (or even superior) replacements soon enough. I'm just hoping that we'll receive payment for those months outstanding.

I closed it 2 weeks ago after seeing how much ads are worth i never got that many hits anyway so no big deal but my bigest check would have been for Nov :( i never got any email from them saying i was canceled or anything did anyone elese get a nov check? nice site by the way did you make the logo?

I got my cheque from Amazing Media this morning! It was postmarked the 15th so it came really quickly as I live in the UK. It was $20 short as I got $326.89 instead of $346.89 but I'll forgive them this time, I'm just glad it came :)

I got my November check today for about $1280

So I can truly say, however late they may be, they do pay and I believe they are trying to get caught up so that they are paying on time.

Amazing Media has proven themselves worthy to me at last.

Those of you who had their accounts let go because of market reasons, Im sure you will still receive your checks owed to you.. just keep posting here if they respond to you or if you get the checks.

CJ-1, Amazing Media has offered to pay those terminated members who have ammassed more than $50 for the month.

In the case of someone like me, it seems that they get to keep $40 as a profit, since they cancelled my account mid-month, with no advance warning. :(

AmazingMedia have been completely ignoring the emails that I've been sending them pleading for them to send the outstanding balances for those members who failed to reach the $50 threshold before being terminated. My reasons were that AM had a $25 threshold in place until they halved our payments (retroactively), doubled the threshold and terminated several members without warning.

Anyway, I only received my November check two days ago (Australia). If the December checks really were dispatched 10 days ago, then us Aussies should see that turn up just a few days after November. Interesting.

well, everyone want to get a check after AM terminate your account? I think it's not possible... it's not you have over 50 bucks in their account or not, it's they won't give you back the remaining money...

I have also been deleted by them in Jan 2001, I ask them to mail me back the balance and they said, according to their terms of service, no balance would be sent to me as they terminate the account, what a ----! they owe me over $300 there!

the best way to get a cheque is threaten with suing...(first read the tos though. If they catch you then your ******).I did that to adagent.com. I found their number in the domain registration thingy(whois) and I threatened to sue. I got my ful $1157. =).

i called 2day and the pretty little secretary said that they were in the process of PRINTING the checks from December right now.

And it's, what, now 85 days from the end of December... if she's telling the truth.

So much for their claim of 45 days from end-of-month, which was already excessively long time to wait for a check.

On the bright side of things, at least we are all getting screwed together. What I mean is, as long as we either all get paid at the same time, we at least know that they arent just neglecting to pay individuals. This helps authenticate their excuse of just being backed up.

Amazing media kept it's rates to high for to long and now they are having to rob Peter (this months income) to pay Paul (you guys for December) I'm sure that if the Advertisng market improves thay will be able to climb out of the hole they dug for themselves.

Just a heads up, I called AM yesterday and they claimed checks were mailed on the 27th (for the month of December). Post here when you get it!

I got my December check today too. Let us praise thanks to the ad revenue god. It was a much needed one and it couldnt have come at a better time for me. I've got my check for February too, after they slash my account... Oh well, at least they paid. :) I wasn't even expecting to get a check too, cause they terminated my account.

Has anyone received a check for March? It was one month ago today when I got my last check from them. This will probably be my last month with AM since I'm only getting 20 cents CPM now :(

I havent gotten mine yet.. I hope tomorrow (Saturday, may 19th) I will get it. You should be getting .25 cpm not .20 but I know they take 10% of your traffic for something I donno. But Im going to look into their new advariant target ad sales thingy to see if I can use it to get more money.
I will post the instant I receive the check though!

Everybody received their february check on the 18th of last month (april) so if you have not yet gotten yours I would call them immediately and ask why.

Please be very polite and professional when you speak with them. When the operator answers immediately state that you are a publisher and that you have a question. She/He will transfer you to the correct people to talk to. You may have a short wait but be patient and they will eventually talk to you. They have very friendly ad support people.

Does that mean by the 19th we'll get them? Someone else call them and try to get a precise time as to when they will arive in our mailboxes. And ask them why they are having trouble again since they were all caught up last month. I would do it but I've already emailed them and called them enough times.. How much are they paying all you guys per CPM? Is this for unique visitors or any pageview (regardless if the pageviews are from the same person)? Also, are they accepting any type of site.. as long as it's legal?

They offer a flat rate of $0.25CPM for all rich-media capable ads served, with deductions for promotional and makegood impressions.

As a result, you can expect to see no more than $0.15-$0.22 Net CPM, and cannot use their banners as defaults.

Despite the low rates, they have still been selective about which sites they accept into their network of late.

short while ago i got my $48 (+/-) check for December (or january, whenever they kicked me out and raised the payout to $50).
Still too bad i got kicked out, but it's nice to know that IF they kick you out they pay any remaining amount in your acct...

Unfortunately, March payments were not mailed as planned last week. We ran into some data issues which needed to be resolved before checks could be printed. We've resolved the issues and will have payments sent out by the end of this week.

Wow.. this thread has been active for EIGHT MONTHS!

I've emailed them and got their automatic response but they never have mailed me back and that was two days ago!! :mad: and still no check......

I sent an email as well.. about 2 days ago . still waiting for a response.. and the march check still. Someone call them and see what they say.. the phone # is posted earlier on this topic by me.

i asked them if their inventory was big enough again to support more publishers (in other words if they had room for me)

I called on monday and asked a woman there about the march checks. She says she intends to have the march checks out this week but she is also going to try and send out april checks in the same envelope. But she says the march checks will definately be sent out by the end of this week (Friday, June 22).

Nope no march check yet.. last I talked to them they said they were going to try and send out march and aprils checks together... and that was about a week ago.. they keep saying "We're going to mail them out by the end of next week" for about 3 months now.. I spoke to amazing media a couple weeks back and they said they would contact me when they finally sent out march checks sot that I would know to expect them. Here is the email I got today from them without me emailing them to get this response.

Dear John:

Sorry for the delay. March checks were mailed today. April checks should be processed next week and May checks should be processed the following week. Thank you.

I got an email on tuesday (June 3rd) telling me they sent out march's checks then they expected a week later to mail out april's then the week after that may's.

I did receive my march check a few days after that email! It was printed and mailed out on 7/3/2001.

I hope you guys get yours! I will post when I receive my may check.

It was fun while it lasted...

Yesterday I received my May check. I'm happy that amazing media pays their publishers what they owe even after canning them. I am still owed June's and July's, I'll keep you posted.

As I think I mentioned earlier, I dumped Amazing Media some months ago -- they were running casino ads and claimed there was no way I could opt out of them.

Somewhat to my surprise, they sent me everything I was owed, even though the balance was slightly less than $50.

Agreed, kudos to Amazing Media for being responsible about payment.

Some time after I had resigned from the network and received my final payment, I got a (probably automatically generated) email letter like the ones posted above, declaring that they no longer needed my site.

do you think it'd be a good idea to join AM now? (if i got accepted)

After all that they've paid me ($22,000) throughout the past year I can only say I definitely recommend them if you do get accepted. I have feeling they wont be accepting too many websites these days though, but please do tell us if they accepted you! Even though they do fall behind a couple months in payments.. they have always come through.. and paid me every penny they said they would.

Same here, but i closed a site after they dropped everybody (the first time), opened another and my traffic is just low (like 1500 uniques, 6000 pageviews) so at $.225 (or even $1.35) a month... Dunno if it's worth having a check sent for $5 or something

not to mention it's a gaming site.

I will suggest to everyone what I have done in search of the almighty buck. Stop screwing around with third party affiliate programs that always undercut you after taking a large cut for themselves to begin with. I signed up for www.orbitcycle.com its a free service that provides you with the means of randomly generating as many banners or banner sets as you wish for as many different people and you have full control over how much the banner is shown. They also provide not just you, but a link so that your advertiser can view their real-time stats during their campaign. This will allow you to charge whatever you wish for cpc or cpm. You can even have an ad stop showing after a certain date, certain number of click throughs or after a certain number of impressions. What orbitcycle gets out of this whole deal is 10% of your banner rotation for their own banner, which they also allow you to upgrade and have full 100% control over your rotation but that costs money. I hope this helps some others like it has helped me! Plus in the banner rotation for the unused space, I'm rotating PennyWeb.com banners which pay cpc. Im still making about $300 a month from that (if they pay).

I got my July check for $1600 from amazing media today. This will be my final check that they owed me since they dropped me back in August. I must say I admire that they have sent me 3 checks that they owed me even well after they have dropped my account. They are a very respectable sponsor even though they rarely paid on time. At least they paid.

Delays were anywhere from 0 - 3 months.

Its expected with the market the way it is these days though.
