Ws_FTP LE is free but it's hard to find in their maze of web pages. try http://www.download.com and search for 'ws_ftp le" or "ws_ftp" [no quotes] then get it from there if you can't find it in Ipswitch's site.

you should try war-ftpd
but the serv-u is the best (it is shareware :))
