Assuming 800x600 screen resolution, whats the maximum width (in pixels) viewable in IE before a horizontal scrollbar is needed? in Netscape? in Opera?
Thanks.

With all the toolbars in place, the sidebar turned off, and the window maximized, Mozilla 0.9.5 (Netscape 6) is approximately 785 pixels wide.

Note, you can gain another 17 pixels if there's no vertical scrollbar.

I said it was approximately 785 pixels wide. I don't have my resolution set to 800x600 so I just copied the window into PSP, shrunk it down, then tried to see how wide it was. The page is around 785. The scrollbar is around 17. They obviously can't be 785 and 17, but they're around those numbers.

Here, I'll tell you exactly. Opera 6.0 is very tiny (in height, at least), 796x310, not counting the scrollbar. Mozilla is 796x437, no scrollbar. If you talk into account a vertical scroll, you loose 17 from each.
