Hi I am using background images and i don't want them to tile. I have heard there is a code for this, does anyone know it?

If not, I have built my site in 1280x724 and looked at it in 800x600 and some of the image is cut off, is there a way to have bg images resize automatically?
I am using frames btw

Yes, with CSS you can place a bg image where you want and make it tile in one or two directions or not at all. It's hard to give you a snip of code without knowing exactly how you want it.

For your other question, designing for no specific resolution is a good idea. If that's not possible 1024*768 is way too big. Lots of horizontal scrolling for most ppl.
