Another CD Burner Problem...

I need some help with my CD Writer. It's working (the light is blinking)..and is installed. The thing is that everytime I try to copy something, an error comes up saying that I have to skip the track or abort the copy.

And when I press the "write" button the CD Writer's light stops blinking..

Do you understand? It's kind of hard to explain. But let me know if you don't understand

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me..it hasn't been working for awhile and I need to fix it!!

If this is internal and u installed it yourself, did you plug it in the EID port on the motherboard? and did you adjust it to make it a master or slave?

It is internal and my uncle installed it for me so I don't know if we plugged the EID port on the motherboard. I think it's a slave. But I've had it for a long time and it always worked. It just stopped working awhile ago.
