I was wondering what program can u use to rip out certain parts of ur avi to make them smaller so that it can fir onto a cd??

I think VirtualDub (http://virtualdub.org/) can do this. Even if it can't, you should still have it :).

Why trim an AVI file when you can compress it further...use VirtualDub.

You should also check out www.divx-digest.com.

can someone tell me how to compress ur avi's with virtual dub cos the help with it is not very clear, also maybe ripping aswell :P

do I just open the video file, choose compression mode and click ok? do I have to watch the damn movie again?

Look, doing this is easier than using Lowblows XP, I don't know how you could possibly not get this..oh wait, you're Weapon. That's right, never mind.

If you want the full length video, use full processing mode for both Audio & Video, and don't forget to set the compression. Make sure you know the current bitrate of the file so you don't actually make it bigger.

Umm... This is how you cut parts, I wouldn't recompress as it kills the quality.

Cut out the desired frames using VirtualDub (its URL is placed here somewhere)
Then put the Video and Audio to direct stream copy (very important!)
Then click save .avi!
