When you uploaded those CGI-SCRIPTS, did you double check each one? While surfing through the list, I found some scripts that are not free. But cost money. Not too much, around $40 bucks, but that's not the point. I doubt the author(s) would be very please to see that. LOL. Nice site though.

I doubt the author(s) would be very please to see thatCoincidence, coincidence, I'm the author of those! Older versions, yes, none can pirate working copies of my new scripts, but all the same...

Were you any other site I'd of had you taken down immediately, but as you gave me a cake and all fifty or so posts back I'll wait and see what you have to say for yourself.

Come out with it now, but first I'll ask kindly that you remove those from your script collection, along with all the other scripts, mine or not, that forbid distribution.

You should learn to be more careful and not to hide behind a disclaimer. Were it not your site, Phroz, it would be gone now, I and others whom I'm in contact with would have seen to that. Guilt cannot be shifted so easily as writing a TOS. Not to mention that the price was mentioned even in the filenames, 'twas obviously not freeware and I have my suspicions few of the others are either.

It doesn't help matters that you're an American and we live in the same state.

Well ---- me.

Maybe I should just change my entire site to warez and relocate to the Netherlands.

I'm not trying to hide behind a disclaimer as you put it, Dusty. These are just all of the scripts I have collected over time and I don't even know what half of them are.

Distance and varied international laws are what bar most petty crimes such as this, involving only $120 or so, from being prosecuted. Little more than 45 minutes separates us.

Popular belief would hold only that the big warez distributors ever come into trouble, that the small-time ones, the piraters, and the users never do. Trust not always popular belief.

You may not have know what half of them are and you may have collected them from here and there (one imagines where this here and there are...) over time, but that doesn't change anything. Anything at all. Matters that be, you have commercial scripts for public distribution and when questioned you quote a disclaimer. That's more than enough, I've gone on less.

But, as I've said, Phroz, you gave me a cake, and have nothing to fear. Nothing to fear, that is, as long as they're gone by tomorrow.

I've just removed around 20 scripts that totaled over $1500.

Did I get them all, or should I expect the FBI to come poundng on my door tomorrow morning?

Screw it.

They're all gone now.

Good. I will consider the matter closed.

You didn't have to delete all of them, but it's probably just as well. I was looking through them and of the first eight I checked one was a pirated commercial script and all seven of the others forbade distribution without formal written consent. Had you weeded them all out your downloads would had probably been pretty skimpy.

No hard feelings then.
