I have around 10 computers here at home ( I build computers as a side job) and right now mos to them are 800MHZ Amd. I've decided to upgrade one of these systems to an Athlon something. Not sure if I want an Athlon 1Gig, Athlon XP, MP, or what not.
I was wondering if you guys can post your system specs and how you like it. I just want to see what people have and how they like it.
As of now, I will be building this:
- AMD Athlon XP 1600
- 512mb of ram
- 40GB hard drive 7200 RPM
- 64mb video card (G-Force)

AMD K6-2 475 MHz

8 GB 5400 RPM Seagate Hard Disk
SiS Integrated Graphics (8 MB Shared RAM)

I have a:
AMD Thunderbird 1.4Ghz
768MB DDR-RAM
32MB ATI Radeon DDR
20GB 7200RPM Hard drive
I would recommend ATI over Geforce though. My ATI Radeon serves me well. The thunderbird cpu is one hell of a processor.

Hello Everyone ...
Just thought I would chip in and tell you mine ...
Gateway 450 PIII
384mb RAM
GeForce 2
Everything else is stock in the computer. I'll say one thing, yea my parents bought it for me 2 years ago, but that damn computer is awesome. I never have any problems and with my cable modem I can hang with the best gamers out there.
I play alot of counter-strike on there, and build flash movies. Gateway makes one hell of a CPU.

Hey, if you're buying in bulk, then it may help a bit... you may save a couple of cents (After factoring in the transportation costs...).
