What actually happens when a site is hacked? They remove all files and replace the index file?

+chips will still own her domain? And she can upload her files again???? :confused:

Yeah thats exactly what happens, but +chips will still own the domain and will be able to upload here files again (hopefully) with better security measures taken.

Considering you're the only one I had given my account information for hosting, bubbleboo, I think I can fairly confidently say it was you. What kind of a stupid game are you playing? How could you delete EVERY SINGLE THING I HAD??? I am as mad as hell, you're just lucky I had everything backed up.

As of now, I have no site until my account info is changed. Thanks a lot, this is how you repay me for being nice? For giving you something for nothing? What an idiot I was.

Thanks to you, I can now probaby no longer host anyone. Sorry everybody else - I am really sorry.

Look in a good side, Chips.. this is the real world.. you will be more careful next time.. good people get hurted easily .... but if I were you.. I wouldn't stop this idea.. I will do that again but this time.. I will increase the level of security.

actually there is one fail safe method! Fallow these steps below to make your website safe from hackers!

A: delete all online content that u've uploaded to a server
B: Grab your modem/ADSL/Cable/T-1 line
C: Put really hard
D: If C fails break out the scissors

and there u have it, your content is now safe from all prying eyes

If you have your own server...........unplug it :rolleyes:
