I had a 16mhz with 4 megs of RAM. I loved playing tetris on it, since its the only thing that can run on it.
I have a 1GHZ in my house but I still run off my 400mhz k6-2.
If I had a full tower I might consider putting fans in and overclocking---but I have a freakin half tower so screw that.

It's not in front of me, I guess I could get up and go look at it but that would require me leaving my chair and my Fritos :D. I'll see what I can remember:
It's an IBM, 386, 25 Mhz, 100mb (or something in that area) hard drive, it came with 2mb RAM but was expanded to four. Ran Windows 3.1.
That's my oldest PC, but I have older computers.

Actually my friend had a commodore 64, but my oldest one was a 386 way back in the day. I think I might be able to overclock 16mhz to 18mhz!

Well Civ III has a recommended requirement of 500mhz, so I'm thinking but it would melt down my comp since I can't do fans, I don't think pc-66 or lower RAM is availiable anymore, and I'm not sure I have any more RAM slots anyways.

I have the oldest personal computer on the market. This was the first Tandy and possibly the first PC on market, was sold in Radio Shack. The technology is 8086 or even earlier. Tandy 1400 or something like that. Beat that.

My oldest is a AMD k6 450Mhz with a 20GB hd, CD-Rom, and 64mb of SDRAM. It sits there in the corner collecting dust. I dont count it as part of my 10 systems. lol.

Dusty

Yes, I collect old computers. I've got a C64, in fact, and computers older than it, but as this poll was geared to PCs I didn't mention any of them.

Heyyy, is that one of those one that ran off tapes??
We had one of them. All I remember was that it was a Tandy, and we had it back in the 80's, before we even got our 086 (with its 20meg harddrive), and that it ran off tapes! :D

This one doesn't have a hard drive. It runs of 3 1/2 disks that hold 140K of space. I think it was the second model, because the first had those 5 1/2 floppies.

You're either thinking of a TRS-80 Model 3/4 or a TRS-80 CoCo 1/2. Did it have a built-in monitor or was the monitor separate or a TV?
im willing to sell my c64. Floppy drive no longer functions.I don't want your C64, I've already got one, and two working floppy drives, and a tape drive, but thanks anyway.
how come old computers had tv-out?You didn't have to use a TV, they did make monitors for it. I have one, but it's broken. TV's were easy to use and eliminated the cost of having to buy a monitor. The poor resolution didn't matter, the C64's graphics didn't come anywhere near TV quality anyway.

 Yours is even better than mine!
Is yours CGA like the one on this site??
Ours was only grey and..black..ah, whatsthat, monochrome?!!
Hm.
As for my other computers to add to this thread...
I think we did have an old 286 (4mb ram, 170mb harddisk) lying around... but I kind of blew it up... :confused2
Also got a sad bastard of a 486sx lurking around the study, probably sitting next to the evil P-120.

I can't remember!
It wasn't a TV!
But I dont know if it was built in, or separate!

It has:
NEC 8088 4.77/7.00 MHz CPU
LCD Backlit CGA Display Panel
Dual 3.5" 720k Disk Drives
640k RAM
Serial/Parallel/CGA/TV Connectors
No hard drive.
I stand corrected on the space of the floppy drives, I never really knew.
The screen technology is the same used in watches.

I can't remember!Well, if you can remember, here's a handy guide to tell you what it was:
If your computer was...
|_ a single piece
| |_ silver in color
| | |_ you've got a TRS-80 Model 3
| |_ white in color
| |_ you've got a TRS-80 Model 4 (my favorite computer :))
|_ several pieces
|_ with a "chicklet" keyboard
|_ you've got a TRS-80 CoCo Model 1
|_ with a regular keyboard
|_ you've got a TRS-80 CoCo Model 2

I still have and still use a Pentium 75 MHz, which has 8 MB RAM.
The great modern computer I'm using most of the time, the newest one I have, is an AMD K6-2, 300 MHz, 64 MB RAM.
Don't have the old Atari 400 anymore. :(

I still have a working Commodore VIC 20 with a 8k RAM extender card, tape drive (cassette), and a couple of game cards for it.
An old Kaypro CP/M machine.
A Zenith 80286 with a 20 meg HD
An Apple IIGS with 2 3 1/2 inch floppies and one 5 1/4 inch floppy, no HD was available for it from Apple, but Applied Engineering offered a 10 meg unit that was built in to a replacement power supply.
Along with a Packard Bell 486 DX2 66 and a NEC P100.
Maybe I should open a museum.
I also have a Hayes 300bps external modem... Blazing speed. A whole page of text in under an hour
