Over 250 are dead and 150 are injured when fireworks exploded in an shopping center in Lima today. That tells people a reason why buildings should have good exits, fireworks shouldn´t be sold in a building anyways rather on the side of a road, and it also tells people not to play around with fireworks. They are not toys, you cannot smoke near them or keep them in intense heat or keep them too long. Well somebody in Peru made that mistake and 250 are dead. My goodness this is horrible! :( :cry2:

They are legal in Buenos Aires, only to be sold out on street stands in parking lots. They can´t be sold inside a building. Speaking of Argentina, does anybody want an update? Populist Saa resigned, the Army would be forced to step in if no one took over.
Here is a link to the fireworks story:

The annual New Year's fireworks display in Central Park here in New York has be cancelled. It was announced before this, however.

That's terrible news,
I can now understand why so many countries ban them, or restrict their usage to only highly qualified, trained people.

That's what happens when you let idiots get around fireworks. I supposed they will now ban driving since so many per year are killed in auto accidents.
Anyway, the firework stands are out in multitude this year around here. On one road alone within a 5 mile stretch I counted 11 stands. I'd say they are overdoing it a bit. The funny thing about it is that I dont buy from any of them. I go to the warehouse where they get their stuff. The warehouse does sell direct to the public, just most dont know that.
I can buy there for $75 what would cost me $200 at one of the stands.

Down here in S. Florida, fireworks are sold under tents in empty fields or in parking lots.
Not sure if they are legal this year or not. Fireworks really didnt interest me because half the time they didn't work.
