Am looking for a reliable host <yeah, like who isn't? :D > Here are some of the things I'm looking for:
Up to $50 setup
Under $144 annually
100MB Disk space
1GB monthly transfer
Unlimited Email accounts
Mailing List (capable of being set up and administered individually by subdomains)
Subdomains (up to 25?)
Control Panel
FrontPage Extensions
Email Tech Support
Prefer:
SSL
Spam filters/email block capability
Web-based email (POP3/SMTP)
Phone Tech Support (toll-free would be a bonus!)
A host who’ll stick around more than 6 months…
One host, spiderwebgroup (a dot com), has the features I want, but I don't know their history. Anyone else know of them? If not, respectfully request recommendations for alternate hosts given the above stats?
Thanx!

Phranky, no, it didn't. Not with this knowlege base. I believed it may have been because I was new nobody wanted to answer me, or perhaps they thought I was too lazy to do my own research... but not know the answer? No. Besides, if one would have read the entire post, I asked for feedback on more that just the one host:
"One host, spiderwebgroup (a dot com), has the features I want, but I don't know their history. Anyone else know of them? If not, respectfully request recommendations for alternate hosts given the above stats? "
Additionally, I did get a reply from someone <THANK YOU, cdudeuk18!>, so I'm quite happy now!
Hope your New Year phinds you in a better mood than I did.

I'm willing to pay up to $50 for setup fees, $144 annually, or $12 per month (in US Dollars - it's what we are paying now at www.kitsap.abate-wa.org). There are currently 5 chapters of our organization that will live under the main domain (with a possibility of 18 more to come); the membership runs about 100 per chapter. It would be nice to have email for everyone, but that is not necessarily a "must have".
Basically, our site needs are to post info to and send mailing lists out to our members (subscribed mailings). The mailing lists must be able to be administrated by each sub-domain (chapter), as they will each have their own webmaster. FrontPage is a must, as I am just a beginner and don't know HTML <yet>. I'm unsure as to what 'mysql' or 'scripting language support' is/does/means, so I can't answer that question. {You're invited to check out our main website at www.abate-wa.org to see if we have any of "that" stuff...}
My main concern is host reliability; I'm willing to pay, and not wanting a free ride. I realize there are no guarantees out there, however it can't hurt to try and find the best you can. For that, I'm looking to this knowledge base for insight. I already know a few of the "not-so-nice" hosts, and some others to stay away from. I've done a LOT of research, tried to find as much as I can about potential hosts, had a few in mind and was asking for feedback in this forum – word of mouth is usually a good indicator (hence my original post).
If you know a host who is able to fill my needs, I would be grateful if you could share their info.
I appreciate your efforts, thank you.

Yes, Myacen looks like they may have what I need. I thank you for your info! And thanx to Archbob, who also had a couple suggestions.
Probably won't get back online until after 2002, so hope all have a safe & happy New Year!
