I know I am!

I used to be into them a lot, but I just don't care anymore.

I don't give a toss about operating systems, or how big my hard drive is, or when the next version of this or that is coming out.

I am just so completely over them I wish there was a way to completely get away from them for a while.

You know, I wish I could just use them now for my internet stuff; I'm really over computer games as well.

I'm not over the internet. Every time I come on I still find more and more information to devour, which I love.

But I can't get away from them for everything else...
I communicate with all my friends through it...
I make extra spending money on it...
I enjoy doing all this sound editing and stuff and I have to do that on the computer...
I even work with computers!

It seems every single aspect about my life is centered around the computer!

I'm just so sick of it!

I hope one day soon I will find a new career path, otherwise I am going to go insane.

Anyone else really over computers?

same here, the only thing i give a S#@t about is my linux box (/me strokes Red Hat Linux), any other thing is just plain ----, i couldn't really give a s--t what OS i have as long as i can get on the net and play games.

i got into pcs in like 1997 and i used to do all the lame newbie ----, taking over irc channels etc etc, then cracking etc etc

now i have four computers:

win95, 200mhz, 24mb ram.
win98, 400mhz, 24mb ram.
winxp, 1700mhz, 256mb ram.
RHL, 700mhz, 128mb ram.

i learnt all i needed to know about computers, now i just play games day in day out :devious2:

I can never get over computers. I enjoy working with them, building them, reparing them and selling them. When I graduate from high school (yea I'm still in high school), I'll be going for my A+ Certification, Networking, Cisco and for my AS in Computer Science, BS in Computer Science and MS in Computer Science.

I guess I take it 1 step at a time. Before I jumped into Linux, I worked w/ Window based systems. Reparing them, building them (I've built more than 200 systems) and selling them. Now i'm ready to go into Linux and Redhat. I already know it, I use to work with Dimension 8 Webhosting ( I was the CEO), but now I want to be able to work w/ a Linux box next to me.

I have a network here at home made up of 10 or so computers. I'm awaiting for my server to arrive which will be housed here and my house and be running redhat linux 7.2 or FreeBSD. I just found out my cable ISP blocked port 80, so I have to redirect it to another port. Probably port 08.

Glad to see that there are many people on this board that use/play with Redhat.. incase I have any questions i can ask them. LOL. Hope they don't mind.

I recommend 81 or 79.

I want to get a port that is never in use, and probably won't be blocked by some ISPs.

I wish I could get some fresh air every once in a while, if only it was summer, I hate the cold.

I sometimes wish I could get away from comps , but then I think, there's nothing else to do.

I'm hungry now...

Heh, I am about sick of both the net and computers as well. After a while, there's really not anything new to you anymore, nothing that suprises you, etc. Now if they come out with real virtual reality like you see in the movies (lawnmower man, etc)....that would be awsome..LOL
